Why should I use Maui Activities Referrals?

For years customers have come out with me and have been so badly misinformed as to what we were going to be doing. Some of the booking agents have made the decision for the guest based on what commission rate the activity pays them and nothing else. They do not inform the customers regarding the many options they have avalible to them regarding the different activities. Some of these so called agents have never seen the boat or trip except in pictures. That is why I want you to make up your mind as to what you are interested in doing and to make your own decision as to what you do. I won't tell you" You got to try this activity”.“This is the only one I would do”. That’s totally up to you. I'll give you my honest opinion on the matter and nothing more.

 

What’s to know?

One of my biggest gripes with some of these so called activities people is that they give absolutely no information to the customers on what the activity involves. I’ll get people on the boat and they don’t have a clue as to what we are going to do. Many time they have been told we are going to be doing something completely different that what we are going to be doing. I will provide you with any information you ask for that’s within reason. If you want to know about the food available on the trip, I’ll tell you. You want to know about the make of the boat, I’ll tell you. Anything you want to know about the trip, I’ll tell you. If you want to know the phone number of that cute crew member that’s up to you to find out.

 

What is there to do on Maui?

Any thing at you can think of. There are so many different types of trips and activities with different features to suit the different customers. There are beach activities, there are mountain activities, and there are water activities and sky activities. If you were to vacation here for a month straight I dough that you would be able to do everything and see everything there is. If you want to lay on the beach and do nothing then that’s what you do.

 

Do I need a reservation?

Yes. Many of the trips on Maui are extremely popular. Walking up in the morning just does not work. Some trips maybe booked up days in advance. That’s why knowing your time frame helps you out a lot. Also with an advanced reservation it gives you the opportunity to go talk with the folks on the boat or trip and see them/it before you show up in the morning for your trip and think to yourself, "I don't like what I see” or “I don’t like what I hear”. It is a little late than. With advanced reservations you have the days that you really want for your trip and with a 24 hour cancellation policy if you don’t like what you hear or see it gives you the time to change to something different. There is no extra charge for an advanced reservation. Just look over what you’re interested in. We'll talk about the activity and about setting up a reservation if it's what you want to do.

 

Can I do the activity?

All of these trips are novice friendly. You don’t have to be Mr. Universe or be able to rub your stomach and pat your head at the same time to do this stuff. I have taken non swimmers snorkeling and wheelchair bound folks fishing. If you do have any concerns about physical limitations let me know, I’ll ask the folks at the activity and let you know. I’ll get you on the trip you are going to feel the most comfortable with and have the most fun with.

 

What about the weather?

That incident with the Skipper and Gilligan happened a long time ago. The only weather concerns over here, short of a hurricane, is very strong Gail force tradewinds. If it is to windy the captain has the call to cancel the trip. Passenger safety is always the captain and crews number one concern. If the trip is canceled the activity will be happy to reschedule you or give you a refund. Rain is nothing but liquid sunshine.

Am I going to get seasick?

You’ll have to call the psychic hotline for that one. Boat, plane, car, nothing will bother me. Put me on a carnival ride as basic as the ferris wheel and look out. If you are at all concerned, talk with your physician or buy some over the counter medication and follow the directions on the back. Better safe than sorry.

What if we can’t make it?

Hung over from the luau the night before is not a good reason. If a problem arises while you are here, medical condition, injury, most any legitimate reason the activity will be rescheduled or refunded.
